Grade 6 Homeroom Teacher
Alicia has been part of the St. Mary School family since her first child started kindergarten in 2009. She now has three children in 2nd, 5th and 8th grades. She is the editor of SMS Today, manages the school’s database and assists with the Annual Appeal. Alicia will be a 6th grade homeroom teacher and instruct 6th grade Literature and Language Arts for both the 7th and 8th grades.
Alicia graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Albertus Magnus College, suma cum laude with a Master of Arts in Education from Quinnipiac University and holds a State of Connecticut Professional Educator Certificate. Prior to joining the faculty of St. Mary School, she was the Literacy Writing Specialist at Amity Middle School Bethany. And before she decided to stay home with her young children, Alicia taught English Language and Literature for ten years at Jonathan Law High School in Milford. In addition to teaching, Alicia was the Drama Club director for the school. She also serves her community as a board member on the City of Milford Library Board.
Alicia loves spending time with her family, reading, writing poetry and antiquing. She is thrilled to be back in the classroom and is looking forward to making a difference in the lives of her students.
