Edward Bonessi

Spanish

Edward Bonessi will be teaching Spanish in grades K-8. He earned his BA from the University of Connecticut and began his teaching career in the Milford Public Schools in 2014. Currently, Mr. Bonessi studies at Southern Connecticut State University in pursuit of his Master’s. He was born and raised in Milford and he is a parishioner of St. Agnes Church. His personal interests include reading, traveling, bicycling and playing music. He says that his hope is to help students comprehend the importance of studying foreign languages, and to teach them that they can broaden their perspective of foreign cultures through the use of world languages. He is fond of what Nelson Mandela once said: “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”
