Introducing New Math Specialist for Upper Grades at St. Mary School

We are excited to announce the creation of a new position here at St. Mary School, Upper Grades Math Specialist.  And we are very happy to welcome Mrs. Amanda Dossey who will be teaching our upper level 7th & 8th grade Math courses in 2018-19.  Mrs. Dossey is a native of Connecticut who attended Central Connecticut State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics.  She continued her education receiving a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is a certified teacher in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Mrs. Dossey began teaching 6th grade in Bridgeport, Connecticut and was there for 3 years before her family moved to Boston.  While in Boston, she taught at a Catholic School for 4 years and coached junior varsity volleyball at their sister high school.  Mrs. Dossey is happy to be back in Connecticut and is looking forward to working with the upper grades in math.

Outside out the classroom, Mrs. Dossey enjoys spending time with her husband and 2-year-old daughter as they anxiously wait for their new arrival in a couple of weeks!

Please join us in extending a warm St. Mary School welcome to Amanda Dossey!
