Introducing Our New Assistant Principal
We are delighted to announce that Miss Liz Plasky has accepted the position of Assistant Principal here at St. Mary School. Miss Plasky exudes positivity and enthusiasm, and has impressed everyone here who has had the pleasure of meeting her. With a career devoted to educational administration, we look forward to all she has to share with our staff and students.
A native of Milford, Connecticut, Ms. Plasky attended St. Ann School and Jonathan Law High School before continuing her education at Southern Connecticut State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. Upon graduation, she was able to return to St. Ann to begin her teaching career. In June of 2009 Ms. Plasky moved to Georgia where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from Kennesaw State University and taught in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. When she returned home to Connecticut, she went back to SCSU for her Sixth Year Professional Development Degree, also in Education. Currently she is enrolled in the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program at SCSU where she expects to graduate with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. In addition to continuing her own education over the years, she has had the privilege to teach almost every grade from preschool through eighth grade and is excited to start this new journey as Assistant Principal at Saint Mary School.
In her free time, she can often be found at the YMCA teaching swim lessons or training future lifeguards. When not at the YMCA or school, she loves to travel both around the United States and throughout other countries! She looks forward to meeting everyone and becoming a part of the St. Mary School family.
Miss Plasky will make her home in an office upstairs in the former teachers lounge. Please join us in warmly welcoming her to SMS!
