Welcome our new Resource Assistant
We are happy to announce another new addition to our staff! Utilizing a grant we receive, Mrs. Melissa Dubin will take on the role of Resource Assistant starting this school year. This position is intended to help our full time Resource Teacher, Mrs. Maureen Birge. Mrs. Dubin will be working two days a week and is sure to be a great asset to St. Mary School.
Melissa Dubin, a St. Mary School alumna (Class of 1993), is excited to join the faculty. Mrs. Dubin received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Providence College and currently holds certifications in Elementary Education and Special Education and an Initial Educator Certificate in Administration. Mrs. Dubin spent 13 years teaching in the field of special education at the middle school level in the Fairfield Public Schools and she is eager to bring her experience with co-teaching, differentiation, and organizational and study skill support to St. Mary School.
Mrs. Dubin and her husband, Brock, reside in Milford with their three children, Grace, a second grader at St. Mary, and twins, Jack & Sadie who will turn three this October. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Dubin enjoys entertaining, cooking, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Dubin’s home base will be in the resource room on the first floor – please be sure to welcome her to her new position.
