Pastor’s Note 2018

Dear St. Mary School Family:

This new academic year, 2018-2019, marks eight school years since my arrival here as pastor in January 2012. In that time, I have seen our school grow in the number of students enrolled, in the overall quality of the education it provides, and in the many ways it serves as a blessing to the parish as a whole. I rejoice in the success that we have had at St. Mary's School.

I am also quite cognizant that this success comes as the result of much hard work and dedication on the part of so many people. Our faculty, staff, and administration have worked hard to insure that the children entrusted to us receive not only a sound education but also an excellent religious formation, which is the primary purpose of our school's existence. I thank them for all they do and for their willingness to adapt to the ever-changing demands and trends in modern education. Of course, the dedication and sacrifices of the parents and even the grandparents of our children make the school possible in the first place. Without their willingness to send their children to us and to support the school not only with tuition payments but also through fund raising, our school would not be what it is today. Finally, a word of gratitude also goes out to the people of Precious Blood Parish who support the school financially and with their prayers.

The present state of the school in a word is excellent. The future is bright. If we work together, even greater things can happen at St. Mary's School where each day, the young people of today who are the Church of tomorrow learn "to live the message of Jesus."
