What is your name and where do you currently live? What year did you graduate SMS?
Sean Cronan, Milford CT. Graduated in 2010.

What is your current job / profession?
Full time student at Sacred Heart University.

What was your educational path after graduating from SMS? (high school, college, post graduate studies, names of institutions and any honors awarded)
I went to Notre Dame Fairfield High School and received the “Most Outstanding Senior Award.” I also graduated top 8 in my graduating class. Now I am a sophomore at SHU. At SHU, I was given the honor of speaking at the Freshman Convocation. I was asked to give a prayer/homily.

How do you feel SMS prepared you academically?
The class I was most prepared for in high school and even in college was biology and science classes. Mr. Nelson did a great job teaching us about the cell biology and chemistry.

Do you feel SMS provided you with a foundation for your future? If so, in what ways?
At SHU, I have participated in the weeklong Community Connections Program in inner-city Bridgeport. I also completed a week long Habitat for Humanity trip to Chicago. At my time at Notre Dame, I also went on a service trip to the Appalachia’s.

What are some of your favorite SMS memories?
My best memories from SMS are breakfast with Santa, Mrs. Pendleton’s P.E. classes, playing basketball on the team and going to Sturbridge Village in 5th grade.

What are your plans for the future?
When I finish my undergraduate classes at SHU next year for Exercise Science, I plan on going to graduate school for my Physical Therapy doctorate at SHU.

What advice can you give current students?
Learn as much as you can and work as hard as you can in these early years because it will pay off in your high school and college years. For example, in high school I already knew half of the material in biology and chemistry since I paid attention in my years at SMS. Lastly, have passion in everything you do and you will certainly go places.
