The purpose of Saint Mary School is to educate the whole child through programs encompassing the development of the students. This will enable students to become contributing members of the school, parish, and community.
St. Mary School recognizes the individuality of each student and strives to develop a well-rounded Christian personality. This will be reflected in a wholesome attitude and a respect for self and others as exemplified by Jesus in the gospel.
As a staff, we believe that a gospel-rooted educational environment where students experience Christian community service, students will be encouraged to integrate faith and Christian values into their daily lives and thus be provided with a healthy attitude which they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
To that end, we strive to work in cooperation with parents to develop a climate of catholic educational excellence and a curriculum that is relevant to daily life.
From the Principal's Desk...
A big thank you to all the parents, grandparents, former parents and others who have worked so hard to make the 45th ANNUAL ST. MARY SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT the success that is always is.
A big thank you and congratulations to all the coaches and players for a great season. Whether you win or loose is this game or that tournament, we are all so very proud of you. Remember, while it’s great to win, that is not the most important thing. What is of greater importance is that you learned more about the game, did your best, had fun, and learned how to operate as a team and how to respect, even when competing against, your opponent. That is what sports at St. Mary School is all about.
We are now in the Season of Lent, a time of spiritual preparation for the celebration of the events of Holy Week —most especially the institution of the Eucharist and, most importantly, recalling the suffering, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. At school we help the children to learn that our Lord wants us to sacrifice so we can share and to pray so we can draw closer to him. This we do in school and help our families to do at home.
It is one of the many ways we at St. Mary School prepare our students to:
LIVE THE MESSAGE OF JESUS.
